Waterfall Canvas Art

Waterfall Canvas Art Erskine Falls are at the end of Erskine Falls Road 10km North West of Lorne. There is a viewing point above the falls and a walking track, steep in places, leads to the base of the falls. The falls cascade over one of the highest drops in the Otways. One of the most popular waterfalls in the Otways, the Erskine Falls plunges 30 meters into the lush tree-fern gully of the Erskine River. Feel the fine mist from the cascading water as you take in the views from one of two lookouts. The upper lookout is an easy five-minute walk from the car park. The lower lookout is a more strenuous walk, down some 240 steps to the base of the falls. Erskine Falls is a nine-kilometer drive from Lorne. For enthusiastic walkers, the 7.5-kilometre Erskine River Track leads from the falls to Lorne along the river, passing Straw Falls and Splitter Falls. The Erskine falls drop 30 meters in to the fern-lined valley of the Erskine River. Located nine kilometers from Lorne, and signposted from Mountjoy Parade, there is only a short walk to what is one of the most beautiful falls in the Otways. The pretty Erskine River, at the foot of the falls, is flanked by ancient ferns, shrubs and native trees, continually moist from the fine mist of water dancing over the rock face. Erskine Falls was probably the most impressive waterfall amongst the cluster of waterfalls around the town of Lorne in the Angahook Lorne State Park. There are seven waterfalls within the bush land surrounding Lorne, with different accessibility levels some are a quick ten minute stroll from the car park, others are a more strenuous rainforest hike rewarded with the majestic roar of a waterfall.
